Autobiography

Hi hi my name is Tierra and welcome to this this embarrassing and hopefully insightful autobiography of somethings about me and what not. To begin I’m a video game gunky. playing games of all kinds is what I do best. From mobile to PC followed by console is how I pass the time. I don’t play every day but most of the time. I LOVE reading fanfiction and Manga, I would spend all day and night without sleep or eating just reading. I have appreciation for different cultures and races. I REALLY like things from S.Korea, China, and Japan. I’m an advit food lover and tea drinker. Animals are another thing I like along with painting, drawing, and photography.

Theme

To start I choose food for my theme specifically Asian food coming from China and maybe a bit from S.Korea. I know that choosing food is probably a bit cliché but for awhile now I have been looking and eating a lot of Chinese food ( ordering and making) that has been catching my attention for about a year now. It started while I was watching donghua or guoman ( Chinese term for anime ) along with reading some manhua ( Chinese term for manga ). Along with food shows on Netflix, the food and the way that they are mad would always catch my attention. To the point where I would want to do it myself, but I suck at cooking so I never really attempted doing any of the dishes.

Aside from animation’s, Manhwa’s would also have some really tasty looking food from S.Korea. Along with their K-drama’s that also gave tasting looking food life, their would always be a moment where I would like “man I wish I knew how to cook that”. Just by seeing all that really had me going which led me to looking up recipes and seeing if I could get any of the ingredient’s from the local market or grocery store.

There were recipes of different varieties that I had researched, some from funny looking to interesting and other’s to downright beautiful and impossible to eat. And then there were those that I couldn’t believe had existed in the first place since I just read them from a story or watched them in a donghua. One of them being Lotus Root & Pork Soup. This one is coming from China and it looks just as beautiful as it had sounded and I was colored surprised when I learned it was an actually recipe that you yourself can make.

Along with other dishes like Di San Xian and Dragons Beard Candy that sounded so cool their teas where just as heavenly sounding as there food! I already knew most if not all teas from Japan and S.Korea, but the one coming from China was just WOW. Teas such as Orange Blossom and Amaranth tea looked like they were something out of a painting. Personally I haven’t made or tasted ant of these tea’s or dishes just yet but from whet I can tell from the natives and how others would enjoy them. I would blackout from happiness just getting to try them.

Processing wise there are recipes out there to make most of the stuff yourself but with traditional food comes traditional tableware that is needed. Just not only cooking as most people would see it as but there is also the setting of the dishes that are made. From plates to spoons and forks, things of that nature are also needed to best bring out the food and get a genuine feel for it.

As man moved through time most of these traditions and things are or have been lost top time do the marketing of fast food and how cheap you can get something without it having to be exactly how you want it. Something so simple like that has made others lazy but not in the Asian countries though.
